How do you decide what belongs on TikTok versus Instagram?

I decide based on behavior, not just format. TikTok is where I prioritize experimentation, storytelling, and personality-forward content, ideas that feel raw, fast, and discovery-driven. This is where concepts can be looser, more narrative, and optimized for watch time, humor, and shareability. Instagram, especially Reels, is more about brand reinforcement and aesthetic consistency. Content there tends to be more polished, visually cohesive, and lifestyle-driven aka what someone would expect when visiting the profile for the first time. If TikTok is where we test and break ideas open, Instagram is where we refine and solidify the brand identity.
