Describe your food and beverage choices during the holiday season (including brands - if relevant).

On holidays I’m with family and always the only vegan individual so I’ll get my own specialty meal, treats or bring a dish for everyone that I am able to also eat (and most of the time my vegan dishes are the first thing gone at our parties because people love them more than they expect to!). Usually I’ll make a dessert most times using some vegan alternatives brands to do so like kite hill, earth balance, silk, and simple truth with some more natural replacers too like flax seed or applesauce for eggs and mashed fruit for some thickeness too. In most cases for dinner we will have just a roast dinner of some sorts and I’ll make myself a plate of mostly sides as my family knows to make them in a way that I can have (ie. Vegetables made with oil not butter, accidentally vegan bread rolls, fresh salads with all dressing and toppings on side, etc.). Then other times I’ll go crazy at Whole Foods hot bar/ make at home made meals and then have that in tandem with my families’ dishes if there’s not many sides or I’m feeling extra festive (but it is expensive). Holiday candy is a big thing too so I’ll usually get a gummy like sour patch kids or smart sweets Swedish fish , dark chocolate (I’m not partial to any brand just yet), and a fruit like blue berries or mangoes.
