One event I’m especially proud of organizing was a special session for the SMART Girls program, where we focused on self-esteem, wellness, and sustainable practices. I helped plan the weekly lesson, prepared materials, and created a safe, welcoming environment where the girls felt comfortable opening up. During one of the sessions, a student who was usually shy stayed after to thank me—she said the discussion helped her feel more confident in herself and that she looked forward to coming every week because it felt like “a space just for her.” That moment really stuck with me. It reminded me how thoughtful programming and consistency can truly make a difference in a young person’s life.
