Social Media Video Editor - Beauty & Fashion
How do you stay updated on the latest beauty and fashion trends to incorporate them into your video edits?
For me it's not necessarily about going out of my way to "research" trends, its more about just being really observant. I'm always on the internet, whether that's browsing through Instagram reels, TikTok, or even Pinterest, I try to soak in what's popular, whether that's a particular color palette, editing style, or atmosphere. I think I sort of unconsciously group all of that and then when I'm editing, even if it's school projects or videos for my friends and family, it just comes out naturally in how I select transitions, font, or even music that I use. I also like to look at what the smaller creators are doing because sometimes they are on the edge before something goes mainstream. I think staying updated is more of a constant, casual thing for me rather than a forced effort.
