What excites you about this internship at Robyn AI?

What excites me most about this internship is the chance to use data to drive meaningful human connection. I love the idea of blending analytics with emotional intelligence—using behavioral insights not just to grow numbers, but to deepen how people relate and engage in a digital space. Robyn AI’s mission feels fresh and forward-thinking, and I’m drawn to how it uses data as a tool for empathy, not just optimization. I’m especially excited by the opportunity to work closely with the founding team and contribute to new product features from a data-informed perspective. I enjoy A/B testing and behavioral analysis, but what really drives me is translating those findings into creative, real-world ideas. I’d love to be part of a team that’s shaping how tech can feel more human.

Do you have any experience with tools like SQL, Python, Excel, or analytics platforms (e.g., PostHog, Mixpanel)?

I don’t have professional experience with SQL, Python, or Excel yet, but I’ve worked with all three through coursework and hands-on projects. I have a solid foundational understanding of how to use them for data analysis and problem-solving, and I’m eager to keep building those skills in a real-world setting. I’m also a fast learner and excited to apply these tools to uncover insights and support growth at Robyn AI.

What are 2 consumer apps you love and why do you think they’ve gone viral or built strong user habits?

Two consumer apps I love are TikTok and Pinterest. Both apps have built strong user habits and sustained growth through data-driven design and intuitive user experience.

TikTok’s success is rooted in its powerful algorithm and frictionless content discovery. The app learns user preferences quickly based on micro-engagements like watch time, replays, likes, and shares—creating a hyper-personalized experience that makes it hard to put down. Its short-form video format, trend culture, and ease of content creation all contribute to viral growth. From a data perspective, TikTok constantly optimizes feed content using real-time behavioral signals, which reinforces habit formation and time spent on the app.

Pinterest has built a loyal user base by positioning itself as a visual search engine and inspiration platform rather than a traditional social network. Its appeal lies in its evergreen content, personalized discovery, and utility-driven design. Users come back not just for entertainment, but to plan events, outfits, meals, or DIY projects—making it highly purpose-driven. Pinterest leverages user data to deliver curated pins based on interests and past behavior, and its intuitive organization tools (boards, sections, saved pins) reinforce long-term use. The app also benefits from positive emotional association making users feel relaxed, inspired, and in control while using it, which strengthens retention.
