Commitment precedes passion. id make sure all members of the team are committed to their tasks so passion can take over. while appointing tasks, id do so in a manner that would allow the individuals to learn and also give them work that has some alignment with their interests. As for holding them accountable, id create a shared calendar that would show the teams work, their due date and time and if they have finished their work or not. This will enable them to be motivated by their team mates work and do a better job all while building healthy competition.
