How do you ensure your short-form content stands out on social media?

The biggest thing I have learned running content at Vizi Lab is that the hook is everything. You have about two seconds to stop the scroll and if your opening frame does not do something visually or verbally unexpected, nothing else matters. That is the standard we hold every piece of content to before it goes out.At Vizi Lab we run high volume UGC campaigns for apps across a ton of categories, wellness, productivity, faith, lifestyle, and what we have found consistently is that specificity outperforms broad messaging every single time. Saying "this app changed my morning routine" is forgettable. Saying "I uploaded my syllabus and it built my entire semester calendar automatically" makes someone stop and think wait, that is actually real. That level of detail is what drives performance.We also test a lot. Not guessing what works but actually running multiple hooks and angles against each other and letting the data tell us what to double down on. That process has shaped how I approach every piece of content I make now, always thinking about what version of this would I click on, what would make me send this to someone.Beyond strategy, I am obsessive about authenticity. Gen Z audiences especially can smell a script from a mile away. The content that converts is the content that feels like a real person found something genuinely useful or cool and could not help but share it.
