Popular traditions at Indiana University include the Little 500, the IU Dance Marathon, and the Homecoming Parade. The campus is also home to several iconic landmarks, such as the many statues scattered throughout, including one of Herman B. Wells. Sample Gates serves as the main entrance to campus, symbolizing the connection between the university and the city of Bloomington.
