I would test the ear cuff's durability by wearing it in a variety of situations, such as with headphones, exercising, socializing, and going outdoors. I would pay attention to how it holds up with repeated use, whether it bends or loses shape, and if it stays shiny over time. I would also test it in different conditions like warm weather, light rain, possibly the shower, and while layering with other jewelry. These different situations would allow me to provide detailed feedback on the comfort and resilience of the ear cuff.
