Do you have experience using Reddit in a personal and/or professional setting? If yes, add details.
Although I don’t actively post or comment on Reddit, I spend a lot of time observing how communities function and what kinds of content perform well. By watching trends, upvotes, and discussions across various subreddits, I’ve gained a clear understanding of the platform’s culture and best practices. This perspective allows me to approach managing a community strategically, knowing what resonates with users even without being a heavy contributor myself.

How would you grow the H\FC community from scratch?
As an intern managing the Home From College Reddit, I will start by researching similar online communities to understand what kinds of posts, discussions, and resources resonate with students and recent grads. I’ll design a content calendar featuring helpful tips, alumni stories, and AMA sessions to spark regular engagement. I’ll also develop clear community guidelines and moderate discussions to keep the space supportive and on-brand. By reaching out to student groups, college career centers, and influencers, I’ll drive new members to join and participate. Finally, I’ll use analytics to track which posts and campaigns perform best so we can continually refine our approach and grow the community!
