Interview Questions
Abigail Collins
Social Media Content Coordinator

What is your process for polishing and editing visual content?
My process is pretty simple—I start with the goal of the content, so I know how it should feel. Then I clean up the visuals—lighting, colors, and framing—to make it look polished but still natural. After that, I focus on keeping it engaging by tightening cuts, adding text if needed, and making sure the first few seconds grab attention. I also keep everything consistent with the brand style, and finally I tweak it based on the platform so it performs well

How would you approach increasing engagement on our social channels?
I
approach engagement as a mix of psychology, data, and content design—not just posting more. First, I audit the current content to understand what’s already working—looking at saves, shares, and watch time rather than just likes. That tells me what the audience actually values. Then I focus on three things: 1. Hook-driven content I create posts that stop the scroll in the first 2–3 seconds—especially for Reels and short-form video. Strong hooks, relatable situations, or curiosity gaps increase retention and engagement. 2. Conversation-first strategy Instead of just broadcasting, I design content to invite interaction—questions, polls, “this or that,” or controversial but safe opinions. Engagement grows when people feel involved, not just targeted.
