How do you stay updated on social media platform trends and how would you incorporate them into DIG's content?
Honestly -- every form of media impacts social media! I stay up to date with Instagram and Snapchat, especially things that come up on reels and the explorer page. You can predict aesthetics that will go viral with Pinterest and professional content with LinkedIn. As a photographer for the Daily Pennsylvanian (our school paper) I constantly use these sources to curate unique photoshoots and storytelling pieces -- all that can be transported to DIG's short form content. (It doesn't hurt that I'm in love with the DIG on campus and know the menu like the back of my hand).
