I love to use reddit - it's the main place I trust for food recommendations. Mainly for restaurants, but I also would enjoy engaging people in the recipes/things to buy at the store aspect. As a college student, a lot of my shopping is done at trader joe's, and I'd be curious to see how people think some of these products compare to trader joe's. I am typically not the participant in reddit threads, but I have read PLENTY and know I would contribute meaningfully.

I would begin by identifying relevant threads, seeing where I can best engage the target demographic. I'd make sure I was following the posting rules around self-promotion. I'd make sure to start commenting on existing threads to establish credibility to other users of the thread. Once I feel I've made my presence known, then I'd start my own posts. I want to know people's thoughts on food generally, so my questions would be genuine and natural. What snacks are truly underrated? Do you think there's a cuisine that's missing mainstream snack representation? How do you think Mexican food shows up on the scene? etc. I'd share things with no fluff, and that will likely encourage people to return the same energy.
