Interview Questions
Dear Diary Co.

Tell me about a time you experimented with content creation or marketing—what worked, what didn’t, and what did you learn?
Although this would be my first actual job, I have been editing videos for fun/ for birthdays etc. What I have learned is that editing can take more time than is expected and can also be daunting but at the end it is very rewarding.

Can you walk me through your process for editing a video and audio podcast episode from raw footage to final upload?
My process for editing a video and audio podcast episode is a multi-stage process that ensures a high-quality, engaging final product. First, I review all raw footage and audio, creating a project file and organizing all assets.Next, I focus on audio: reducing noise, balancing frequencies with EQ, compressing for consistent levels, removing imperfections, and adding intro/outro music. This creates a clean, professional listening experience. For video, I start with a rough cut to establish the structure, followed by a fine cut to refine pacing and add visual elements like graphics, text overlays, and B-roll. I'd then do color correction and grading. If the audio and video are separate, I carefully sync them. I then review the entire episode, get feedback, make revisions, and then export the final files with optimized settings. Throughout, I'd ensure the editing aligns with the 'Diary of a SHE.E.O.' brand, focusing on clarity, professionalism, and highlighting key insights relevant to the target audience.

To grow the 'Diary of a SHE.E.O.' podcast audience, especially on social media, I'd focus on a multi-pronged strategy: Content Repurposing: I'd create audiograms, quote cards, and short video clips from each episode for various platforms. We could also transform episodes into blog posts for more marketing. Engagement: Asking questions, running polls, and hosting live Q&A sessions with guests will foster a strong community.Collaboration: Partnering with guests for promotion and exploring cross-promotion with other relevant podcasts will expand our reach.
