Growing up, my parents were never big on the concepts of gifts. I never really got birthday gifts or was incentivized (by gifts) to do well in school. This was because, my parents would buy me things I want provided I could convince them of it. So really, they were training me in sales because anytime I wanted something, I had to sell it to them. My biggest accomplishments were getting an iPad and convincing them to pay for an interior design summer course at a local arts center!

Journaling has become a really good resource for me over the past year. I use it as a brain dump, especially when I'm overwhelmed. I also use journal prompts to work through how I am feeling. I usually do those when I feel the need to, but more often I tend use my planner as a gratitude journal and as a way of keeping day-to-day tasks organized.
