what event would you host to promote uber one sign ups?

I would host an Uber One sign up event during the first week of school, when student traffic is at its highest and students are actively looking for services that make campus life easier. The event would be a tabling pop up located in the center of campus near MLC and Tate, where students naturally pass through throughout the day. To make the experience engaging and memorable, I would partner with local Athens food or beverage spots and have items such as boba, bagels, or donuts delivered live through Uber Eats. Students would be able to see Uber in action while learning about Uber One’s benefits. In exchange for signing up for Uber One for the first time, students would receive a free food or drink item. Students would simply show confirmation of their new Uber One sign up, and then choose from the available items. This creates a clear incentive while also demonstrating the real value of Uber One, especially for food delivery and convenience during the school year. By combining high foot traffic, local businesses, and an immediate reward, this event would drive sign ups while positioning Uber One as an essential part of student life at UGA.

what organizations are you involved in?

I am involved in UGA ASURA, a Desi collegiate dance team that competes across the country, and UGA India Night, one of the largest cultural events on campus with over 2,000 attendees. With ASURA, we frequently use Uber for safe and reliable transportation to and from competitions, practices, and after parties, especially when traveling in unfamiliar cities. For UGA India Night, I serve as the Hospitality Director, where I help manage food, hotel accommodations, and logistics for visiting dance teams traveling from across the country. In this role, I regularly coordinate transportation needs, making Uber a natural and practical solution for getting teams to events, after parties, and back to their hotels safely and efficiently.

How would you convince a student to sign up for Uber One?

In my opinion, encouraging students to sign up for Uber One is simple because it solves real problems they experience every day at UGA. I personally use Uber One and signed up after realizing how much easier it makes getting around campus, especially during rush hours and game days when Ubers are harder to find. Uber One consistently offers better availability and deals, which makes a huge difference during high demand times. As an out-of-state student, I frequently travel between the airport and Athens, and Uber One has often given me some of the best deals for long rides. Being able to split the cost easily with friends makes it even more convenient and stress-free. The built-in payment splitting feature is especially important, because it removes the awkwardness of having to chase friends to pay you back, which is a common issue with other apps. Uber One is also extremely appealing for students living in apartments or on days when dining hall options are limited. Many students already rely on Uber Eats, and Uber One makes ordering food more affordable and reliable. I would convince students by highlighting these everyday use cases through real examples, content, and peer-to-peer recommendations, showing that Uber One is not just a subscription, but a tool that genuinely makes college life easier.
