Please share any relevant social media management experience and how you defined success in the role.

I have worked in social media management and development for various roles. In my current role, I manage all social media platforms for an off-campus student apartment complex. I've worked to develop a social media strategy that best meets our target market segment (college students) and planned/created content that fits their needs/interests. I've grown our account immensely in my time in this role by increasing engagement, growing our following, and developing relationships with local businesses and organizations through social media.

To you, what is the most important part of a brand's marketing strategy?

The most important part of a brand's marketing strategy is they are going to reach their audience. Without understanding their target market segment and creating content that caters to their interests/needs, their strategy is useless.

What do you think should change with the current state of social media?

Less expectations! It's so easy for users to conform to social media's norms. I believe social media would be a much better place if we were able to be ourselves and share what we want to share without any expectations or judgement.
