Interview Questions
New Brew
Growth Marketing Intern (21+ years or older)

New Brew's brand involves tapping into nuanced cultural conversations. Can you describe a time when you navigated sensitive or complex topics in your creative work, and how did you ensure your approach was authentic and resonated appropriately?
I previously worked on a pitch for a makeup company that was black owned. I wanted to be able to create this pitch that showed I was educated on the black community. With prior knowledge, I began researching what it means to have a black owned company, and the trials behind it. This allowed for the pitch to be as authentic as I could have made it myself, as a white woman. Prior to submitting it, I sent it over to my friend, who is black, and she said it was lovely.

Tell us about a time you took initiative beyond your typical responsibilities to drive results. What motivated you, and what was the outcome? -- Are you 21 years or older?
I am 23 years old. I took initiative when setting up for a PR event at a Lakers game. The other staff was running behind and I took it upon myself to gather all of our materials that we needed for brand promotion and began bringing it in and setting it up. I also took initiative to begin cleaning up slightly before the event was over to be able to have a swift clean up.

How would you approach developing a comprehensive digital marketing campaign for a unique product like New Brew's non-alcoholic beverages?
I would begin by figuring out what sets this company apart from the rest. It is clearly providing a different message that alcoholic drinks are promoting, and is made with more natural ingredients. I would highlight these natural ingredients and create a campaign that has to do with camping, hiking, or going to the beach. Since it is advertised as more euphoric, I would create a more funky element to it that would encapsulate this.
