📞 During the Call

5️⃣ Camera ON — no exceptions

This is a brand call, not a podcast. Turn your camera on. Eye contact (even virtual) builds trust and shows you're engaged. If you have a conflict that requires you to be camera off, let the team know beforehand.

6️⃣ Start on mute

Join muted. Unmute only when you're speaking.

Reach out to the team ahead of time and ask for a recording of the meeting so you're all caught up. Also, you should always accept or decline the calendar invite accordingly so the team can quickly see if you'll be able to make it or not.

This is your first impression on an actual brand's marketing team. These are real professionals who have budgets, timelines, and goals riding on this program.
