Have you ever developed a recipe using a new or unfamiliar ingredient, especially one from an ethnic cuisine? What was your approach, and what challenges did you face?

yes, I had the same approach but when it starts tasting weird I would use an ingredient that settles or over powers that taste so its either mellowed out or gone.

Can you walk us through your process for developing a recipe from concept to finished content?

when I have an ingredient I usually think about what pairs well with it. So for example Italian dressing chicken. I'd think what goes with that maybe some rice with beans and cornbread or carrots. If its something sweet like I'm making chocolate donuts I would think about what fruit or nuts would also go along with it. I would then choose maybe raspberries with a little bit of lemon zest to add to flavor. so basically i think about what compliments the dish/meal and I go with it.
