Operations Intern — Account Management & Coordination

Describe a time you coordinated a project or event successfully.
As the Media Team Lead for SEEK at UVA, I spearheaded our semesterly merch launches by coordinating my team through the entire campaign lifecycle. While I personally handled the design of the apparel and visual assets using Procreate and Canva, I led my team in executing a cohesive media strategy to build anticipation leading up to the event. I acted as the bridge between our creative output and the other operations teams within the org, presenting our progress in weekly meetings to ensure all departments were aligned on the launch timeline. By managing the vendor logistics and overseeing my team’s posting schedule and communication strategy, we successfully cleared over $3,500 in sales in a single semester.

Operations Intern — Account Management & Coordination

Have you had any account management experience or worked in an agency?
No, however I have managed as a Media Team Leader at a Non-Profit Student Organization during my time in college. I basically acted as the account manager and project lead while running the media side for a non-profit at UVA. I was the main point of contact between our creative team and our vendors, so I had to own the whole workflow—from the first merch concept to the final sale. I wasn’t also just posting on social; I was building the schedules, handling vendor logistics, and tracking data to see what actually performed. Since we had a few different operations teams within the org, I also presented our progress every week to keep everyone synced up. I’m used to balancing a lot of moving parts and making sure different teams are aligned.

How do you ensure your feedback is honest and helpful?
Really reflect on my first impression on the product/services, from intricate packaging and design, the taste, and how it makes me feel afterwards. With that, how it differs from other products/services I might've tried before and providing feedback so the brand/company can truly make improvements if need be. Making sure that I'm providing feedback that is both objective and subjective, I can ensure my feedback is honest and helpful!
