De La Calle Co Inc.
TikTok Content Creator
What brands or TikTok accounts do you think are doing a great job on the platform?
The first brand that comes to mind is "Duolingo" I think prior to TikTok I personally felt like they did not have a brand personality established. If I am being honest, the company did not stand out to me. However, their marketing team found a space within TikTok to create hilarious/ compelling content with their mascot "Duo". Not only do they engage in popular trends on their page, but you will find Duolingo in the comment section of normally, hilarious trending videos. I think this keeps them up and trending since everyone expects "witty" content and engagement.
The next brand I wanted to choose was a smaller brand "OG Slimes". This business owner creates homemade slimes that result in sold out launches every week. Why I chose this brand was because slime is typically geared towards children. However, OG Slimes found a gap to appeal to all audiences. The first genius trend the owner taps into is ASMR, they shoot how well their slimes scoop rating their "scoopability" these result in on average 200k+ views. Not only are they gaining views, but they use this opportunity to launch their new weekly slimes.
Both brands overall know how to effectively tap into trends while staying true to their brand personality. It is important to remember who your brand is and what is represents.

How would you spread the word about Candier on campus?
I love your brand first and foremost! However, I would implement a few changes in the social presence space, more specifically TikTok. After reviewing the companies page, there is room for growth of engagement! First, tapping into trends is crucial. One huge trend right now is fall! Everyone loves cozy fall weather and I think it is a universal feeling. How can you guys tap into the fall trends? Use trending sounds, but also create compelling content that promotes "warm cozy" vibes like your "pumpkin spice vibes only donut candle" gives off. People are attracted to visuals, create fall flat lays for product photography, use fall colors while implementing your brands colors (oranges, yellows, etc). Create engaging content, tap into ASMR of creating the candles? A this or that slide with your candles/ flavors. I think there is soo much potential for your brand to go viral!
What is the most creative idea you've had for TikTok?
I think Frito-Lay should create a campaign where they create a bracket of all their chips and use their consumers answers to create their next chip variety pack. Not only does this give them free consumer data, but their consumers also feel heard. If they promoted this and created a consumer driven variety pack, it could be big!
