Whats your current hydration routine?

I use a hydration water bottle throughout my day to show the number of ounces/cups on the side so I can track my intake. Living in AZ, I try to drink water before I feel thirsty as that is a sign that you’re already dehydrated. Sometimes I keep reminders in my phone. I drink more water when I’m having a more active day or if it’s hotter (when I’ll sweat more), especially after working out. If I feel like I need it, I’ll incorporate electrolytes. I also drink water as soon as I wake up and before I go to bed.

Can you share your experience with in-store promotions or sampling events?

I was a Brand Ambassador for gourmet foods promoted and sold at Costco for a year. I worked on weekends from setup to teardown. As a small team, we worked together to run our booth smoothly by engaging shoppers, restocking, preparing food, and keeping our area clean. We were encouraged and required to talk to every customer who walked by and a lot of times I genuinely enjoyed striking up conversation. We would inform them about practical and nutritional information of each of our products available to sample, and answered any of their questions. Our goals varied in number depending on store, but the selling goal was a certain percentage of the day’s door count. Our schedule rotated to different stores every week in the West Valley and also out of town.

How would you engage a hesitant customer to try a new product?

I have started conversations with hesitant customers and asked them questions about their preferences which usually always gets them to at least try. I also state that we are there for a limited amount of time with the variety of products we have that day so it’s the best time to try!
