What's one thing about Formula Fig that made you want to apply? Be specific.
One of the things about Formula Fig that made me want to apply is its unique brand philosophy that successfully marries high-tech, results-driven treatments with an elevated, human-centric experience.
Specifically, the one thing is the company's commitment to delivering advanced, medical-grade aesthetic treatments, like microneedling and microcurrent, in a way that is highly accessible, efficient (often in 30 minutes), and aesthetically engaging. Many places offer clinical efficacy or a relaxing spa experience, but rarely both. Formula Fig has cracked the code on providing treatments with proven, clinical results without the intimidating, stark environment of a typical doctor's office.
This approach, which the founders describe as a formula of "form, function, and fantastical," demonstrates an understanding of the modern consumer's needs: they want efficacy and efficiency, but they also want an immersive, design-forward experience that makes them feel taken care of and builds a community.
This focus on blending cutting-edge science with thoughtful hospitality truly resonates with my own professional values, and I am excited by the opportunity to be part of a team that is redefining the skincare industry.

Describe how you manage your time when juggling multiple deadlines. Give a specific example
When juggling multiple deadlines, I rely on a structured approach of ruthless prioritization, visual mapping, and buffer allocation to ensure everything gets done efficiently.
For example, when managing a complex project across two different jobs—Job A required a client presentation deck due Thursday, while Job B had a system migration checklist due Friday—I had to manage conflicting priorities simultaneously.
First, I used my digital calendar and a task management tool to list every sub-task for both projects and assigned a priority level (High, Medium, Low) and estimated time to each. I visually mapped dependencies—for instance, I couldn't finalize the presentation deck in Job A until the data analysis step was complete.
Next, I blocked out focused work sessions on my calendar, allocating my most productive morning hours to the highest-priority, tightest deadline (Job A presentation). I also intentionally scheduled 'buffer time' of 30 minutes at the end of each session to handle unexpected interruptions or overruns, which helps prevent a single delay from derailing my entire schedule.
By meticulously breaking down the work and focusing on immediate priorities while keeping the big picture in mind, I successfully delivered the presentation deck for Job A 4 hours early and completed the system migration checklist for Job B the following morning. This approach ensures I not only meet all my deadlines but also maintain the capacity to manage unexpected personal needs and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Tell us about a time you taught yourself a new tool or skill without being asked. What was it, and how did you approach learning it?
I taught myself UX design when I realized that our increasingly digital world relies on seamless user experiences, sparking a personal passion for effective design. I recognized that behind every successful site or app is meticulous user research and intentional design, a field I was eager to enter. To approach this learning goal proactively, I started by auditing existing online resources and curating a structured learning path. I began with foundational theory using free courses from platforms like Coursera and edX, learning core principles like user flow, wireframing, and information architecture. My next step was practical application. I used Figma and Sketch to redesign popular, but slightly cumbersome, local non-profit websites. I conducted informal user research with friends and family to identify pain points and created high-fidelity prototypes that addressed those issues, applying an iterative design process. As a result, I built a small portfolio of work that demonstrated my understanding of the user-centered design process. While I wasn't asked to do this for a specific role, this self-initiated project allowed me to pivot my skills, and I now confidently integrate UX principles into my current project management work, ensuring that our team always prioritizes the end-user experience.
