What do you think most brands are doing wrong in regards to their content strategy?
I believe that brands are too focused on being relatable on their platforms. Although I do think it is important for brands to create content that targets their demographic in a relatable way, I think it is also important to be straightforward and be informative simultaneously. Oftentimes I have noticed that a big brand will participate in a popular trend or use an audio in order to reach more Gen Z demographics. However, they will lack information about said product on that post, which results in the viewers having to do a scavenger hunt to find more about the product, such as going to a different social media app, a different post, a different website, etc. I think that moving forward, brands should incorporate important information along with their "trendy" posts, without making people have to search for certain information. At the end of the day, it does not matter if your video/post went viral, but it matters if it actually influences viewers to go and purchase their products.
