Interview Questions
Yope
Yope User 30 min Interview

What campus events would you use to promote a social app like Yope?
I’d target events where people already take tons of group photos: college fests, hostel farewell nights, sports day, and department trips. I’d set up a “Yope photo booth” with a QR code to join a private group for that event. Everyone dumps their pics there instead of 15 WhatsApp groups. No strangers, no algorithm, just the people who were actually there.

How would you convince fellow students to try Yope?
I’d pitch the problem first: group chats are messy and Instagram isn’t private anymore. Yope solves that — it’s a photo messenger just for your 5-10 closest people. No strangers, no ads, no pressure. I’d start a “NIT Manipur 2026” group, invite 3-4 friends, and once they see how easy it is to share real moments, it spreads. Network effect does the rest.

How do you ensure your product reviews are honest and helpful?
I treat every review like a quality check. I test the product for at least 3-5 days in real conditions, compare it to the listing claims, and note specific pros/cons. I include photos, list who it’s best for, and mention any drawbacks — even if I got it free. Honest feedback helps both the brand improve and future buyers decide.
