Have you ever sold something online or in person? Share an example, big or small. Talk about what you learned from that selling experience
I've worked as a brand Ambassador both online and in person. This summer, I worked in advertising at a women's clinic, which included selling the services to a multitude of people. I did both tabling, meetings, and guerrilla marketing. This taught me how to communicate directly with potential customers, curate a sales pitch, and also be able to communicate with the head of marketing directly for questions, and even got individuals discounts as a first-time customer. Additionally, I am currently a brand Ambassador for Adobe Express, which means I create online content promoting the use of this platform, host workshops teaching people the platform, and even host digital challenges to get people not only to download the app but also utilize it. This has taught me a lot about digital marketing, analyzing analytics, and social media design overall.

What's your video creation process? How do you usually get your inspirations?
I usually scroll through my feeds and identify trending audios, topics, styles, and even filming techniques. I save these audios and posts and then ideate on how they pertain to my specific topic of content, it being a day in the life of a college/university student or related topics. I also keep a running list of ideas (including sound, shots, captions, and script) in a Word doc for reference. Lastly, being kept up to date on social media trends and topics, sometimes an Idea comes to mind on the spot, and I find those videos typically perform the best as they are natural, spontaneous, and typically more relatable.

Tell me about a piece of content you made that got more engagement than usual. What do you think made it successful?
I made a TikTok, which received more engagement than usual. The video consisted of me and a friend lip-syncing to an audio that pertained to our specific situation. At the time, the audio had fewer than 10K uses, which I believe contributed to the algorithm pushing it more to the For You page. Additionally, I utilized only language that pertained specifically to the video, no general hashtags or unnecessary wording. Similarly, I made sure to include captions that were well visible and synced to the audio. That, along with the usage of clips that a shot-reverse-shot style filming method, allowed for user viewer retention.
