Create a schedule for when I would like to post the content, plan out the type of content and post specific things on specific days, prep content in advance so it can be posted on time with less stress

How would you increase engagement on a new Instagram account?
I would first look at what is working/not working before brainstorming different ways to increase engagement. Some of the ways to increase engagement would be to post regularly, participate in trends and to ask followers question or what they would like to see more of.
