This post generated a lot of excitement, resulting in a 40% increase in followers over two weeks and dozens of entries through comments and shares. Barcebites “Rate This Dish” Interactive Reel (Food Instagram Abroad): While running my food review account Barcebites, I posted a Reel featuring a popular Barcelona dish, inviting followers to rate it in the comments and share their favorite local spots. By using trending audio and tagging the restaurant, the post reached beyond my immediate followers, doubling typical engagement and sparking conversations both in comments and DMs. Both posts demonstrate how I use visual appeal, clear engagement prompts, and trending elements to connect with audiences and boost interaction

During my internship at Indiana Health Fund, I spearheaded a social media campaign aimed at promoting student wellness and mental health awareness. I rebranded the organization’s social media platforms and crafted a series of engaging posts, Reels, and Stories that highlighted campus resources, wellness tips, and stress-relief strategies. Incorporating trending content formats and relatable messaging helped increase audience engagement significantly. This campaign boosted interaction through shares, comments, and follower messages, demonstrating my ability to create content that resonates with a target audience while supporting organizational goals.

What is your best tactic to get new views and engagement on posts on IG and TikTok?

My best tactic is combining trending formats with a fun, on-brand twist that speaks directly to the audience. Whether it’s using popular sounds, viral templates, or timely pop culture references, I always make sure the content feels fresh but still authentic to the brand. Strong hooks in the first few seconds—like bold text overlays or relatable humor—are key for grabbing attention. I also focus on consistency and community. Posting regularly, responding to comments and DMs, and using interactive features like polls or Q&As help boost visibility and make followers feel like they’re part of something. For example, on my Barcebites food Instagram, I’d post fun “rate this dish” polls and tag restaurants to get reposted, which helped grow reach organically. Ultimately, it’s all about being creative, timely, and personal—making content people want to share, save, or talk about
