Honestly, I stay up to date just by being really active on the apps. I spend time scrolling through TikTok and Instagram every day—not just for fun, but to pay attention to what’s trending, what kind of content is performing well, and how creators are keeping things fresh. I also follow a few creators and marketing accounts that break down trends, audio shifts, and algorithm changes, so I can stay ahead of the curve. As a digital media major, I also look at trends with a more strategic lens—I think about how they can be adapted to different audiences and how brands can use them in a way that still feels authentic. I love experimenting with trends in my own content, and I’m always brainstorming ways to remix what’s popular into something original.
