During my internship with a college athletic team, I was tasked with helping boost in-game sales during basketball games. I researched audience behavior, studied what other successful programs were doing, and developed a presentation with targeted strategies—like themed game nights, limited-time merch drops, and in-game social media contests to drive engagement and purchases. My ideas were well-received by the marketing staff, and a few of them were piloted during the season, resulting in a noticeable increase in concession and merchandise sales during promoted games.
