Do you have previous product development, Research & Development or internships in beauty before? If so, please list.
While I haven’t had formal R&D experience in the beauty industry, I do have relevant experience from a student-led business where I developed and marketed aromatherapy accessories. This involved understanding customer preferences, designing product concepts, testing prototypes, analyzing feedback, and iterating to improve the product which are all skills directly applicable to product development and consumer research in beauty.

What products do you think are disrupting beauty?
I think the products that are disrupting beauty would be tech-enabled personalization. Brands such as Curology and Function of Beauty use quizzes and AI to created customized formulations at scale. This allows targeted skincare accessible to millions of people at an affordable price point. The subscription model also allow brands to continously improve on their formulations based on customer data.
