Share a few of the most impactful traditions as it relates to March Madness on your campus?

While MIT does not have traditional NCAA March Madness basketball traditions due to its primary focus on academics and participation in Division III athletics, the Institute has cultivated unique customs that celebrate innovation and community during this period. One notable tradition is the "Hack Madness" tournament, organized by the MIT Alumni Association. This event mirrors the structure of March Madness by featuring a bracket of the most famous MIT hacks (pranks), allowing the community to vote and determine the ultimate winner. For instance, in 2014, the 1982 Harvard–Yale game hack, where a weather balloon emblazoned with "MIT" inflated at midfield, was crowned the greatest MIT hack of all time. Additionally, MIT's men's basketball team has had notable seasons, such as advancing to the conference championship semifinals, fostering school spirit and camaraderie among students and alumni

If Uber were to host an activation on campus during March Madness, what would be your best idea for the brand to uniquely engage students?

As an MIT student with a substantial social media following, I propose an "Uber One Tech Challenge & Viewing Party" during March Madness to engage our diverse and innovative campus community. This event would feature a hackathon where students develop solutions to enhance Uber One services, culminating in a viewing party with interactive booths showcasing Uber One benefits. Leveraging my online presence, I would promote the event through a dedicated social media campaign, encouraging student-generated content and fostering community engagement. Collaborations with various student organizations would ensure inclusive participation, reflecting MIT's commitment to diversity and innovation. My background in technology and active involvement in campus initiatives position me to effectively promote Uber One's services in a manner that resonates with the student body, ensuring a successful and memorable activation
