When I leave an honest food review, I try to balance being truthful with being respectful. First, I think about the entire experience from the atmosphere and service to the actual food. I start by mentioning what I ordered and how it was presented, then go into the taste, texture, and whether it met my expectations. If something wasn’t great, I explain why without being rude. For example, I’ll say something like, “The chicken was a bit dry for my taste,” instead of just calling it bad. I also make sure to point out anything I did enjoy, even if the overall experience wasn’t perfect.
