Dune Suncare

Social Media Manager

Please brainstorm one area of opportunity for Dune across all social channels.

Similar to Glossier making the content generated for the brand to be more appealing for the particular niche, dune plans to target. Finding an already established brand that matches your brand personality and learning from their trials and tribulations could be beneficial. Creating the products, for example, the SPF sunscreen, to be aspirational to get can prove useful, thereby also partnering with beauty influencers that have a similar brand can help grow, build and sustain Dune. Making general content about the benefits of sunscreen, or the impact that Dune is would be a great content idea. Popularizing the story behind Dune, making sure that you talk about the brand being women-owned and creating content with them can provide a face to brand creating an attachment and emotion to the story, perhaps a 'get ready with me'. These are just a few ideas about what and how to create content. I beleiev Dune has a very moving story to tell and could potentially have a much bigger impact than it already does. Keeping up with social media is key to social media management. Being timely, and consistent could go long ways.

Please share one beauty brand that is killing their social strategy. Why?

Glossier is one of the brands that has excelled in the beauty world, since it's inception. Glossier always had a specific niche that they have carved out for themselves and cater to. The product pricing ranges from cheap to expensive, serving the idea that there is something for everyone. Also, serving to this idea is the demographics they target, from high-school teenagers buying lightly tinted lip balms to baby boomers buying the skin tint that suits mature skin too. Their marketing strategy is targeting the niche but serving to all. Another aspect that makes the brand so appealing is that, they touch the aspirational side of our emotions, this is proved heavily through the rise of the 'clean girl aesthetic' on TikTok and Instagram, both platforms they are active and engaged on, helping create customer evangelists. Glossier is truly an inspiration in creating a brand that is a brand of today.

Squigs Beauty

Community Lead

Squigs Beauty Profile Image

What's one way you'd activate Squigs on your campus and build the Squigs community?

Activating Squigs on the Pennsylvania State University campus and building a community around it can be an exciting opportunity. I believe Squigs would and can thrive in a community like Penn State, with a large Indian population along with many other Here's one way to activate Squigs on your campus and foster a vibrant community: 1. Organize Creative Workshops and Events: Host regular workshops and events focused on various creative pursuits such as painting, drawing, crafts, digital art, poetry, music, or any other form of artistic expression. Collaborate with local artists or invite renowned artists to conduct these workshops. These events can serve as platforms for Squigs to showcase their talents, learn new skills, and interact with like-minded individuals. 2. Create a Dedicated Space: Designate a specific area on campus as a creative hub. This space can be equipped with art supplies, musical instruments, and other creative tools. Ensure it is an inviting and inspiring environment where Squigs can gather, work on their projects, and collaborate with others. This space could also double up as an art gallery or performance venue.
