While I haven't put together any brand events, one successful event I organized in my personal life was hosting Valentine’s Day and Thanksgiving gatherings at my apartment while studying abroad in Greece. Many of the people who attended were far from home and didn’t have family nearby, so my goal was to create a warm, welcoming space where everyone felt included. I planned the food, atmosphere, and guest list intentionally to make it feel special and comforting. The impact was seeing people relax, connect, and feel less homesick, several friends told me it made them feel supported and helped them build stronger connections while abroad. It showed me how thoughtful events, even on a small scale, can genuinely bring people together and positively affect others.

One example was at a previous job when I noticed a customer having a difficult day. Even though it wasn’t part of my role, I took extra time to listen, help them find what they needed, and make the interaction more positive. Seeing their mood shift reinforced how impactful simple kindness can be.
