What is a recent video concept or trend that you’ve seen on social media, and how would you apply it to Daybird?
A recent trend I’ve been seeing perform really well is the “Real Life vs. Aesthetic Expectation” format, where creators show the contrast between how routines look online versus how they actually happen in everyday life. It’s relatable, lightly humorous, and feels very authentic. I’d apply this to Daybird with a concept like: “My ideal morning routine vs. my real morning routine.” The “ideal” clip could show a calm, slow skincare routine with multiple steps, while the “real” clip shows a busy morning where I only have time for one product — Daybird’s 4-in-1 Serum Skin Tint SPF 50. The transition highlights how it replaces multiple steps (skincare + SPF + coverage) in seconds, while still giving that healthy, natural glow. This format works because it’s relatable and honest, but it also clearly shows the product’s benefit: simplifying routines without sacrificing results. It aligns perfectly with Daybird’s positioning as a functional, minimalist solution for real, busy lifestyles.

How do you stay updated on the latest social media trends and incorporate them into your content creation process? What are some of your favorite accounts to follow right now (doesn’t have to be a consumer brand)?
I stay updated on trends by actively using TikTok and Instagram as a viewer first — I monitor trending sounds, formats, hooks, and editing styles daily through the For You Page and Reels feed. I also save high-performing videos to analyze why they work (hook, pacing, captions, camera angles) and then adapt those structures to fit the brand’s tone rather than copying trends directly. I pay close attention to lifestyle, wellness, and beauty creators since those spaces move quickly and influence broader social trends. I especially like formats that feel natural and routine-based because they perform well while still feeling authentic. Some accounts I enjoy for creative inspiration are Alix Earle (natural storytelling style), @elysemyers (relatable narrative format), and minimalist routine creators in the clean beauty space who focus on texture shots and calming visuals. I also watch creators who do strong UGC-style ads because they blend authenticity with performance-driven content.
