Working for Binghamton University Residential Life has provided the opportunity to meet all kinds of people on campus. Over the last 2 years I have had the pleasure of getting to know students of all ages as well as some of the live in faculty on campus. In May 2024, WHRW 90.5FM, another organization I am a part of, put on its annual music festival Moefest. I was tasked with managing the budget and keeping costs low as the CFO of the station, and came up with the idea of reaching out to Residential Life about using an outdoor space near the dorms. Thankfully they agreed and even offered to collaborate with us on the event, reducing the costs taken from WHRW's budget significantly. Moefest ended up being one of the most attended events that year, and overall attendance increased by 40% from the last two years thanks to the connections I built within Binghamton Residential Life.
