I would say that I prefer clear instructions if working with data just so that things do not get messed up however I also do really well with my own judgment and enjoy some freedom

I would go through multiple brands and make a list of what they all have in common that makes them successful. I would take these key things and incorporate them into a new design or format to keep the viewers interacting while also showing them something new.
