In my previous role at the University of Connecticut's Office of Brand Partnerships & Trademark Management, I was involved in a project focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) research.   As part of this, we needed to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data we were collecting on supply chain partner compliance. To do this, I created a QA report.   QA Report: Supply Chain Partner Compliance Data1. Objective:To verify the accuracy and completeness of supply chain partner compliance data collected via Qualtrics surveys and compiled in Excel sheets.   2. Data Sources:Qualtrics survey responses.   Excel spreadsheets containing compiled survey data.   Existing partner compliance documents (for spot-checking).3. QA Procedures:Completeness Check: I verified that all survey responses were fully recorded in the Excel sheets. I checked for missing data fields and followed up with the team to obtain any missing information.Accuracy Check:I performed random sampling of survey responses, comparing the raw Qualtrics data to the corresponding entries in the Excel sheets to ensure accurate data transfer.I cross-referenced key data points (e.g., certification dates, compliance ratings) against existing partner documents to validate their accuracy.Data Integrity Check: I checked for data consistency within the Excel sheets, such as ensuring that dates were in the correct format, that calculations were accurate, and that there were no duplicate entries.4. Findings:During the completeness check, I identified 5 survey responses that were missing from the compiled Excel sheet. These were subsequently added.In the accuracy check, I found a minor discrepancy in the reporting of "ethical sourcing certifications" for 2 partners. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the Excel sheet had an outdated certification date. This was corrected.The data integrity check revealed no significant issues. All data was consistent and in the correct format.5. Recommendations:To prevent missing data in the future, I recommended implementing an automated data transfer process from Qualtrics to Excel.I also suggested a process for regular updates to the partner compliance data to ensure that the Excel sheet always reflects the most current information.This QA report helped us ensure that the data used for analysis and for informing university policy recommendations was accurate and reliable. It was a crucial step in maintaining the integrity of our research.

Documenting Bugs (The Bug Report):Use a Bug Tracker: Log issues in a system like Jira, Bugzilla, etc.Be Clear & Concise: Provide essential information so developers can fix the issue quickly.Key Report Elements:Title: Short, specific summary of the bug.Environment: Where it happened (OS, browser, device, app version).Steps to Reproduce: Exact, numbered steps to trigger the bug.Expected Result: What should have happened.Actual Result: What went wrong (the bug).Severity/Priority: How impactful and urgent the bug is.Evidence: Attach screenshots, videos, or logs.Essentially, find bugs through diverse testing methods and user feedback, then report them clearly with reproducible steps and supporting evidence in a tracking system.
