Can you give an example of a successful data-driven marketing strategy you've implemented in the past?

For a university project, I worked on designing a marketing strategy that dealt with implementing Visa Pay onto Instagram shops. My main goal with this project is to create a more quick and efficient checkout process, create more sales for businesses that are using the platform, and give everyone a more enjoyable experience. I conducted individual interviews with people who frequently use the platform to identify shopping behaviors and what they thought of the checkout process. I hosted focus groups that contained potential stakeholders (Influencers, Everyday Users, Businesses), to get a better understanding of their thoughts on Instagram shop and if they liked the Visa Pay feature. Although, this was just a university project, my stakeholders loved this integration since they found the checkout process to be more quicker. This in return will get more users to use Visa Pay and create more money for businesses that are selling products on the platform with that feature.

How would you approach researching Gen Z trends to uncover marketing insights?

I would research popular platforms like Instagram and TikTok to quickly identify current trends, whether they involve viral topics, memes, or content styles. Knowing these trends allows me to assess the potential benefits of implementing them into our plan. In addition, I would advise our client to use interactive tools like Instagram polls and Q&A sessions to actively communicate with their social media audience. This strategy would make it easier to get genuine comments and learn more about what appeals to their target demographic (Gen Z). In order to make sure our approach is data-driven and in line with the interests of their audience, I would simultaneously examine their audience insights and social media analytics to find trends and preferences.
