How do you stay updated with the latest social media trends?

I stay updated with the latest social media trends by staying active on the platforms themselves—especially TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter)—and observing how creators and brands are adapting their content in real time. I regularly explore trending sounds, formats, challenges, and memes to understand what’s resonating with audiences. I also follow social media news accounts, creators, and newsletters like Social Media Today and Later to stay ahead of algorithm updates and platform changes. Beyond that, I enjoy studying successful campaigns from brands I admire to see how they’re using trends creatively while still staying authentic to their voice. Being plugged into both the cultural and strategic side of social helps me create content that’s timely, relevant, and engaging.
