How comfortable are you with Facebook? This is where our users (Adults 60+) spend the most time.

The first social media platform I ever used was Facebook. Although most of my peers used Instagram throughout our teens, Facebook was and still is a great platform for large online networking events and for older users to connect with one another. I believe that your mission, which utilizes Facebook as an essential tool to engage with older audiences, is absolutely essential in an age of fake news and political unrest.

Please brainstorm one area of opportunity for Dune across all social channels.

Dune has an advantage in its inclusivity--the gel sunscreen is designed for people of all shades and colors, and this is exactly what people are looking for. The company Instagram must embrace this aspect of their products and showcase TikTok videos of darker-skinned influencers applying the sunscreen products and putting them to the test. This will attract a larger, more diverse consumer base, especially because people are more likely to purchase a product once they are certain it will work for them.

Please share one beauty brand that is killing their social strategy. Why?

Glossier is a great example of a company with excellent and focused marketing. Glossier knows their audience, and they aren't afraid to stay within the set confines to keep consumers coming back again and again. This beauty brand appeals to those who want a simple and natural look with minimal coverage. The brand emphasizes the appeal of embracing one's natural beauty with products that merely enhance rather than cover. They utilize simple, sleek, and minimalist packaging, and use baby pinks, blues, and purples to sell their products as accessories to a coveted lifestyle.
