In a given week, your responsibilities range from updating financial models, to scheduling with external partners, to tracking inventory movement, to prepping decks for a marketing meeting. How do you prioritize and execute when everything is urgent?
I start by determining what is actually time-sensitive vs what is merely important when everything seems urgent. I prioritize activities according to their impact, dependencies (what other people are waiting on), and deadlines using the Eisenhower Matrix or a short checklist. A financial model that is required for a partner call in two hours, for instance, takes precedence over a deck that is due tomorrow. To stay productive, I set aside dedicated time for serious work (like modeling) and combine it with lighter activities (like scheduling or updating trackers). In order to control expectations and identify trade-offs where necessary, I also engage in proactive communication with my teammates. Using apps like Google Calendar or Notion to stay organized helps me perform consistently even when I'm juggling a lot.

Tell us about a time when maintaining accurate data was crucial to your role. How did you ensure the data stayed clean, up to date, and aligned across systems or teams?
Maintaining correct data was essential to running our outreach and campaign monitoring system during my tenure at Outcurve. We used this data to direct follow-ups with high-priority prospects and assess the effectiveness of ABM techniques. I created a structured spreadsheet with color-coded progress trackers, dropdown menus, and consistent naming conventions to make sure everything remained neat and current. To keep things in line, I established frequent checkpoints for updates, verified entries with email CRM and LinkedIn data, and maintained tight communication with the partnerships and content teams. Our approach was timely, pertinent, and well-informed thanks to this attention to detail, which also helped to avoid missed chances.

Walk us through a time when you built or managed a complex spreadsheet system to track operational or financial data.
I developed a spreadsheet system at Outcurve to monitor the effectiveness of our outreach initiatives across various clients and platforms, which immediately aided our GTM operations. The team was able to filter the spreadsheet by campaign, account tier, and week thanks to its tabs for LinkedIn interaction data, email open and response rates, and lead status updates. I utilized color-coded trackers for simple status updates, algorithms to automatically determine response rates, and dropdowns to maintain consistent and tidy data. By prioritizing follow-ups, modifying message tactics, and swiftly identifying what was effective, the team was able to increase conversion rates. At New Brew, I would apply the same degree of organization and precision to campaign or operational data tracking.
