How will you describe a scent for your viewers?
Since scent is something you can’t experience through a screen, I’d describe it using emotion, memory. Ex: What it feels like: “This smells like a clean, expensive hotel lobby” or “This feels like walking into a cozy café on a rainy day.” I’d also use simple comparisons like “If you like vanilla but not too sweet, you’ll love this.” "This is a clean-girl scent.” “This smells like fall, but in a luxury way.”

What social media platforms do you prefer for product promotion and why?
I prefer TikTok and Instagram for product promotion because they’re where discovery and purchase decisions happen, especially for Gen Z and college students. TikTok is my top platform for discovery. It’s amazing for storytelling, trends, and “wait, I need this” moments. Instagram is perfect for reinforcing the brand through reels for aesthetic content and stories for daily use, countdowns, and behind-the-scenes.

How would you create content that stands out for a retail brand?
The core idea would be positioning it as “smells expensive, but isn’t” and showing how it instantly elevates dorms and apartments in ways candles can’t.
POV-style videos like:
1. “My 5-minute night routine that makes my place smell like a hotel”
2. “Things that make my apartment feel put together”
3. “What I do instead of burning candles in a dorm”
Filming in-store “wait, they have THIS at Walmart??” content, price reveals, and reaction-style videos. These are great for driving real retail traffic and feel very native to TikTok.
