If a texting app could auto translate would it be enough for you to switch?
Of course

Can you share a funny or awkward translation moment you've experienced?
Someone once translated:
“I am coming.”
But in the local context, it actually meant:
“I’ll be back soon.”
The English listener got confused because the person was already standing there. 😄
Another awkward one is when autocorrect or translators turn respectful phrases into something dramatic. For example, a polite sentence like:
“Please, I’m trying my best.”
gets translated into something that sounds like:
“I am suffering beyond human understanding.” 😂
Food names also create chaos. Some local dishes, when translated literally, sound scary instead of delicious. Imagine hearing:
“Goat head pepper soup with assorted parts.”
To locals, normal meal.
To foreigners, it sounds like a survival challenge. 😅
