How do you stay updated on Instagram and TikTok trends?
I stay updated on Instagram and TikTok trends by actively using both platforms in a conscious, analytical way rather than just passively scrolling. I regularly explore the For You Page and Reels, paying attention to recurring sounds, formats, hooks, editing styles, and captions, and noting how trends evolve across different niches like beauty, lifestyle, fragrance, and wellness.I also follow creators, brands, and social media strategists who are known for spotting trends early, and I save, organise, and revisit content that performs well to understand why it works. In addition, I keep an eye on platform updates, trending audios, and hashtag movements, and use tools like Instagram’s Reels trends, TikTok Creative Center, and brand accounts for inspiration. This helps me quickly adapt trends in a way that feels authentic to a brand’s tone and audience, rather than forced or repetitive.

What attracts you to influencer and social media marketing?
What attracts me to influencer and social media marketing is the ability to tell a brand’s story in a way that feels authentic, creative and community-driven. Influencer and social platforms are where culture, trends and personal connection intersect, and I enjoy how thoughtful content and partnerships can turn products into experiences people genuinely relate to. For a fragrance-forward brand like Candier, that storytelling around mood, nostalgia and joy is especially powerful.I’m drawn to this role because it combines creativity with organisation. I enjoy both the strategic side of influencer and PR work — managing creator gifting, outreach, media lists and press requests — and the creative side, such as brainstorming PR box concepts, activations and content ideas that feel on-brand and culturally relevant. I have a strong interest in TikTok and Instagram trends and enjoy translating them into engaging content, and I’m comfortable using tools like Canva to create clean, eye-catching visuals.What excites me most about Candier specifically is its playful, emotionally driven branding and focus on connection. Supporting influencer partnerships, PR moments and social content for a brand that sparks joy and nostalgia feels like a great opportunity to contribute ideas, stay close to trends, and help create campaigns that people want to share, not just scroll past.
