Can you share an example of a successful event you organized in the past and how it impacted someone else?
One successful event I helped organize was the AI Flux Workshop under the Gen-Y Events Club. I was involved in coordinating logistics, managing discipline, and handling communication between speakers, volunteers, and participants. During the event, I noticed several first-year students who had never been exposed to artificial intelligence before. After the workshop, a few of them approached us and shared that this was the first time they understood how AI is applied in real-world scenarios, not just as a theoretical subject. One student later reached out, saying the workshop motivated them to start learning Python and enrol in an online AI course. Seeing how a well-organised event could spark curiosity and confidence in someone else made me realise the real impact of such initiatives, not just hosting an event, but creating an environment where people feel inspired to explore new opportunities.

What is an example of when you went out of your way to provide an act of kindness from someone who is not an immediate friend or family member?
During the Trikon Unite Hackathon, I noticed a team struggling because two of their members had dropped out at the last minute. They were clearly overwhelmed and close to quitting. Even though it wasn’t my responsibility, I stayed back after my assigned duties to help them reorganise their workflow and connect them with volunteers who had relevant technical knowledge. I also ensured they had access to proper resources and communicated with the organising team so they were given reasonable support within the event rules. The team eventually completed their project and successfully presented it. What stood out to me was not just helping them finish the hackathon, but seeing how a small effort, staying a little longer and offering guidance, restored their confidence. It reinforced my belief that kindness in professional settings often comes down to empathy and taking initiative when someone needs support.
