Can you give an example of a successful content strategy you implemented in the past?
The Project: Glow Recipe Skincare Launch
I created a campaign for their new "Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops" serum. The goal was to make people excited about the product and increase sales.
What I Did
First, I researched what skincare fans wanted. I found that people loved seeing "glass skin" results and satisfying texture videos. I also noticed competitors focused too much on science, while Glow Recipe could win with fun, sensory content.
For Instagram, I made:
Short Reels showing the serum's texture with satisfying sounds
Interactive Stories with polls and tutorials
Posts showing 3 different ways to use the product
For TikTok, I started the #GlowGetterChallenge where people shared their before-and-after results using the serum. I also worked with smaller creators to make authentic "get ready with me" videos.
How I Made It
I shot everything on an iPhone, using natural light to show the dewy glow effect. I edited with simple tools like CapCut and Canva, keeping the bright, fruity style that matches Glow Recipe's brand.
The Results
The campaign did really well:
Instagram Reels got 150,000 views on average
The TikTok challenge reached 1.8 million views
We made $22,000 in sales through affiliate links
People engaged a lot with the content (7% on Instagram, 9% on TikTok)
The most popular video was an ASMR texture Reel with 450,000 views
What I Learned
I'd do a few things differently next time:
Focus more on TikTok since it reaches more people naturally
Create fun AR filters so people can virtually try the "glass skin" look
Post more on newer platforms like Lemon8
Change the challenge themes weekly to keep it fresh
This strategy worked because it matched each platform's style, made shopping easy, and built a community through real user content.
PS: I'm sorry, but this campaign is fictional as I haven't worked with any brand before. However, I've studied many brands, Instagram, TikTok, and social media trends extensively. I created this campaign based on what I've learned works well for skincare brands on these platforms.

Content Creator

How do you approach creating visually appealing content for social media?
I start by researching what's popular in a niche, which in your case is haircare. I look at current trends, colors, and styles that your audience likes. I also check what competitors are doing to find ways to stand out. This helps me create a mood board that matches your brand but feels fresh and up-to-date.
When shooting, I focus on good lighting and composition. I use natural light whenever possible to show off product textures and hair results. I pay attention to how things are arranged in the shot, using techniques like the rule of thirds to make everything look professional. With my Google Pixel 9, I shoot in 4K so I can crop the footage for different platforms like Reels, Stories, and TikTok. I take multiple shots from different angles, especially for product application and hair results.
Every piece of content tells a story. Whether it's a transformation, tutorial, or lifestyle moment, I plan each shot to communicate the product's benefits and create an emotional connection. I especially focus on texture shots like slow-motion water droplets, foam lather, and before/after comparisons.
In post-production, I polish everything to perfection. I use editing tools to enhance colors and maintain your brand's look. I add text or graphics that highlight key messages without overpowering the visual. My main tools are Adobe Premiere Pro for editing, CapCut for quick edits, DaVinci Resolve for color grading, and Canva for graphics.
Throughout the process, I follow your brand guidelines for fonts, colors, and logo placement. I use editing techniques like jump cuts and zooms, along with trending sounds, to keep the content engaging. I add captions and text highlights for important product benefits. For color grading, I aim for clean, bright tones that make hair look healthy and vibrant.
Finally, I optimize and schedule the content for each platform. I format videos as 9:16 for Reels and TikTok, and 4:5 for feed posts. I write captions that tell a story and include calls to action, using relevant hashtags. After posting, I track how the content performs and make adjustments based on what works best.
