You don't like the product, how do you proceed with this gig? Who do you notify and what steps do you take?
If I am able to, I would voice my concerns and notify the company first, especially before writing a review privately or publicly. I think it is better to give positive feedback to a company than criticize publicly. It's okay to not work well with a product, but that doesn't mean that the product is bad or won't work well for someone else.
